Inspiring for change
We're change-makers – always have been, always will be. And we're fiercely committed to improving equality, diversity, and inclusivity locally and globally: whether supporting Black creatives in fashion, mentoring marketing talent from the LGBTQ+ community. We will continue to amplify marginalised and underrepresented voices, partnering with more like-minded brands and businesses to keep changing the world for the better.
Championing people
People make us who we are, and we believe in looking after them. Back in the 19th century, his Quaker roots saw William Clark invest in his Somerset community and even build his workers homes – many of which still surround our global HQ in Street. When it comes to our colleagues, partners, and customers, we act with integrity and honesty, with more pledges to our people on the way as we move forward.
Protecting the planet
We crafted our first pair of slippers from leftover sheepskin – so minimising our environmental impact is in our DNA. We make our shoes to last, using durable, quality materials that stand the test of time. And we utilise revolutionary waste-reducing shoe construction for collections like glueless Origin, strive for sustainable alternatives to virgin materials, including bio-based and recycled content, and invest in shoe recycling and resale projects to close the loop and benefit communities near and far.
