Clarks Originals X Mayde
Born and raised in LA, Aleali May is an established name on the global fashion scene. A designer, model, stylist and self-professed sneaker enthusiast, Aleali May is one of the first women to make waves in the streetwear industry – her exclusive collaborations have been an instant success, with collections selling out in minutes.
In 2022, May launched her unisex clothing label, MAYDE WORLDWIDE, mixing streetwear and luxury in an homage to her signature aesthetic and relaxed styling. For her first-ever collab with Clarks Originals, May brings those effortless vibes to an authentic heritage silhouette: the Wallabee Boot. Featuring the same moccasin construction as the Wallabee, the boot is reshaped with a high upper cut and finished with trademark branded fobs.

This collaboration references many of my designs and uses corduroy, a staple California fabric. Wallabees have always been a statement within hip hop fashion, and one of the many reasons why I love them. I decided to add an LA spin to the Wallabees to mark a celebratory moment for my first line, MAYDE.
From the California-inspired palette to the choice of tactile textiles, May’s collection is suffused with eclectic playfulness. Saturated hues of orange, yellow and blue draw on the shades of the Pacific coast panorama – think sunsets ablaze with colour, sandy bays and the glimmer of the ocean. Corduroy uppers amplify the LA appeal, with each colourway conjuring visions of laidback California evenings. With its earthy palette and contemporary sensibility, Clarks Originals X MAYDE calls for spring / summer styling.
The Clarks Originals X MAYDE Wallabee Boot is available in Pacific Blue, Terracotta, Sand, Sunshine and Coral cord, in UK sizes 3-12.
